After School

P.E.A.K. After School

Polk Enrichment and Activities for Kids

It is our goal to provide after school to all students who request it, at no cost to families; however, your child may be placed on a waiting in.

In order to provide a successful After School program we strive to maintain safe and effective staff to student ratios. If your child is placed on a waiting list it is because of a staffing shortage. We will be opening up spots in the program as we hire new staff throughout the year.

If you apply by July 31st, you will be notified in the beginning of August, before school starts, if your child has received a spot or has been placed on the waiting list.

We are appreciative of Polk County Commissioners for their generous continued support of Polk County Schools PEAK After School Program.

Daily Schedule

During PEAK, students receive a snack and then go on to homework time, where After School staff, as well as teachers and community tutors, help students to complete their homework.  Parents should always check and sign the yellow communication folders each night, even when students complete homework during after school.  After homework, students participate in free time, games, planned activities, clubs, and S.T.E.M.-based (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment activities.

All school rules apply to After School and are expected to be followed by all participating students.
